Language requirement: the student must have a basic knowledge of German. No official test results are required, but the student has to have a minimum score on the online university’s test. The test can be taken here.

Medical insurance: all exchange students must have medical insurance, as well as third party damage insurance, while studying at an academic German institution. The university offers convenient and affordable (60 euros per month) insurance that can be acquired once the student arrives in Berlin. However, any other insurance is allowed as long as it comes from a company recognized in Germany.
